Annual Wound Warrior Pillowcase Service Project
Hosted by Jody Groves
Several years ago a number of us Navy Mom’s got together to make pillowcases, to be sent out to sailors deployed at sea over the Christmas holiday. Since then this project has transitioned into an annual service project benefiting the Wound Warriors Project.
It’s a great day, spending time together and working on this wonderful project. You don't have to sew to work on this project. Many come and help with the ironing, some learn to pin and sew, others purchase fabric and then we have our cheerleaders:) This is not limited to military mom’s.

Rachael....Sorry you won't be able to join us. You will be missed.
I really wanted to be there tomorrow but I am so behind after going to Texas. I need to stay home and see my husband :) Have fun ladies!
My plan for food is to do a salad bar. Susan/SN is bringing the plates, forks and so forth. I am bring, salad, chicken, crotons, salad dressing, almonds, bacon bits. My girlfriend from the sewing guild is bringing cheese, bread and butter. I am also bringing donuts in the morning. So if there is anything else that someone would want to bring, please feel free too.
I will be there...Will also bring my ironing board and iron, but plan on sewing again. Regarding food what can I bring? Looking sooo forward to seeing everyone!!!!
Hi Paymaster, yes my mother and I will each bring a sewing machine and serger. :) I will be more than happy to bring waters, lemonade, ice tea and cups too. I'm so looking forward to meeting everyone :)
Nic's mama.....So glad you and your mom will be able to make it! As of right now I believe there will be 10 +mom's but that can change as we get closer.
Can you tell me if either you or your will be bringing a sewing machine to sew with?
My plan is to provide a salad bar for everyone, so if you would like to bring some water's that would be outstanding.
Hi Paymaster! My mom and I will be there to sew! We are very excited because this is our first time and I unfortunately have missed all the M&Gs in the area. I would love to bring something to eat or drink. How many will be attending?
Yeepie Vicky! Heard so many great things about your mom. It will be nice to meet her.
