Sorry, I meant "We have a list"...

Comment by beverly on December 16, 2013 at 10:46am

We have a service of shuttle and taxi services that provide transportation from and to the airport.  Please call the Navy Lodge and we can email the list to you.

I haven't the foggiest idea where I got this so it might be that I thought there was but never asked....but, is there a shuttle from O'hare to the hotel and vice versa?

The Boot Camp graduation is 1.5 miles from the Navy Lodge.  I f you do not rent a car, then there are many taxi services available.  We have a list of number once you have arrived at the Navy Lodge.  We also have a list of restaurants in our area.  There are no restaurants with in walking distance.  To get you started, each morning we have a continental breakfast.  We also have menus from several restaurants in the area that deliver to the Navy Lodge.  If you have not booked your flight, check websites like Travelocity, Expedia, Trip Advisor, Orbitz, Hotwire  There several search engines available to book flights.  The airports in the area are O'Hare and Midway in Chicago and Mitchell in Milwaukee, WI.  We will see you soon!

I have my reservations for PIR  1/17/14.  Checking in 1/15-1/20/14.  I'm not educated at ALL on how to trip plan.  I still need to book flights and no clue what I'll do for transportation getting around on and off base.  Any suggestions would be welcome!

Just made our reservations for PIR 1/17/14 WAHOO!!!  Is there anything we need to know since I believe this is on Base? Is there a restaurant close by? Any info would be great, like so many others this is our first PIR and we are so excited.
