Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Marie Comment by Marie on November 27, 2008 at 12:13am
I put this date (ish) on the calendar. We live near Everett and when my daughter was just a young'n, back before 9.11 we used to tour all the local ships and so we've actually toured the Davis!! It was all those ship tours that planted the Sailorness in my daughter so it would be wonderful to be there to welcome this ship and all it's Sailors home. Sorta like coming full circle. Pencil me in please.
