Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

There will be appetizer serve and a cash bar. If you are staying at this hotel , you will get 2 free drink vouchers.

We live in the area and are looking forward to meeting the families that have had similar feelings of concern and pride in the choice their son or daughter has made to join the Navy.

Paloma we are staying on base in billeting so I don't know if we can make it for sure but would like to try. I look forward to seeing everyone at the PIR. We are driving in since we are fairly close. I am counting the days!!

Hello Whitemountain, I will also be staying at the Ramada so I will see you there. You don't need to call to rsvp just go to your events tab at the top and click on the attending button. See you there, I'm not very happy today since I have not received a call yet, just 2 letters. :(

We will be attending...my daughter is  11/238.  Can't wait to meet all you others who are walking this journey with me :)  Last day of June....yeah!  We are staying at the Ramada...made sense with the shuttle and the reception there.  Hope it works out good?!?

same Paloma,my daughter is Ship09 Div239. Just received my first letter from her yesterday, i've read it 3 times. I look forward to meeting you @ meet&greet. I made arrangements at Comfort Inn. Good Choice???? not sure.
