OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Norm will be at Stanford to have a device implanted with leads going into his heart. He is part of a study, so he should (if all goes well during surgery) get something like a pacemaker that will control his heart. It will totally regulate the heart beat and help make his heart stronger. Hopefully he will feel better right away!

Quiltlady, I really want to meet the women who made all those beautiful quilts. Nancy, where is Norm having his surgery?  Where is S12thborn - thought she would sign up by now? or Joyfulmom? Baker - it'll be a long drive for you.

Norm is having surgery on the 14th. Sounds like you all will have fun!

QuiltLady, that would be great if them come. I am thinking of asking my parents to come, also. Dad's in a wheelchair but it is so good for him to get out of the house.

I hope to attend. My parents come on the 15th so it will depend on if they want to go. If we do it will be 3 attending.
