Rose we look forward to meeting you and Bob. Local members are important. We can come-a-runnin when needed. The Navy has changed our lives. I hope our sons and daughters benefit from this experience. See you Saturday, 23 Mar 13 @ "The Villa," Rose.

Hi Stephen,

Bob and I are still coming. We still want the cheeseburger with fries.  Really looking forward to seeing everyone.  I have been on the site for a couple of years.  This will be my 4th Meet and Greet.  I love to talk to other Navy families.  I have so much to share at this one.  See you there, Rose

You'all come now you hear! That will get the North Coast of SF members a running to our MNG. As a guy from Boston, I had to learn a new language when I went into the service. What's funny is all my best friends came from the south too. That is the military for you.

BQB, I look forward to meeting all the members in our area. Then we can have informal MNG when people need some group hugs. I am excited.

See the 35 people on "Not Yet RSVPed" list?  These are people who are members of the San Fran group and are on my N4M Friends list. I had sent them a group message - we did get a few who got the message and responded. The others are members who have 1) turned off N4M email notifications, so don't know 2) have gone on to other things because their sons/daughters are out on deployment - sometimes they drop back in when they are having problems dealing with deployment and are looking for support 3) are reading but don't respond.  For those of you who are in north of San Fran, please don't hesitate to drop them a comment on their page or send them a friend request.

StephenC, thanks for all the work you'll have done. We are getting a great turn out. I wish more of the north of San Fran members would check in and realize that there is a meet and greet in their neighborhood.

The flight back was great from San Diego. Kind of made us feel pampered flying right into  Santa Rosa.

Put in the deposit at The Villa. Those not familiar put the address in your GPS. There is a long driveway that goes up-up-up. That is what gives you the great view. The four items listed above was the most requested.

Please bring $20 cash each. That will make it more easy to pay. Credit cards would be a problem. This is my first MNG outside of GL so bear with me.

I estimate 25 people in all. We will sit in the main dinning room.

Stephan - just tongue-in-cheek fun. My husband and I have been on opposite parties for decades but I vote the person I think will be best for the country at the time regardless of party affiliation. I flipped all the time.

BunkerQB, My wife is a Republican and I am a Democrat. Been married for 36 years and still love each other and still get along, most of the time. I did not know MNG were broken down by party affiliation. Our son's "Being in the Navy is Our Real Party Affiliation." Hooyah!

Hi Bea and everyone in our wonderful group,

No, I was hoping to do both events, but things are not working out the way I thought they would...Ok, I'll save June 1--thanks!

So bummed....my son is graduating Power School on May 3 and we will not be able to attend in SC. We never missed any of his events while he was growing up, went to all his parent-teacher conferences, all his baseball, swimming, football events, so I'm beside myself that we can't attend this! But the good news is my oldest son will be attending to support his brother, and I gave him his orders to take lots of pictures for both my sailor as well as for us!  lol!

It is truly a beautiful day--I think I'll go out and do some gardening and enjoy some of it!

Peace out!

Hi joyfulmom,

You told me you had an evening engagement and was worried that we'd be back too late.  Save June 1. We are still working on a venue but it'll be closer to us. :) and also post your comment on the SF group's main page (this is the Event page). Confused?  That's OK. Sandy will tell you - it took her a few rounds.
