Been seeing where a lot of moms are posting that their recruits will be staying at Great Lakes after graduation for Pre-Bud training?

I think this is addtional training, not their A school (?) What is Pre-Bud? How long does that last? Who has to go thru Pre-Bud?

Thanks in advance, Learning something new everyday on this site!

When is your PIR? I say this because we have worked so hard with all the emotional PT!!!
My sons PIR was 3/14. He is in GL for EM training right now :)
What about you ........
(Emotional PT) LOL
It's looking like the middle of Novemeber if all goes the way it is supose to....however Steve is known to throw in surprises just to keep my off balence. I fully expect him to bug out a few weeks after graduation and go to bc early. He graduates hs the 21 of May, heads to the bondrywaters (Can.&Min.) with nothing but a backpack, fishinpole, gun and boat the 22nd. He is planning to be back by the 1st of June. ...So, we will see. At this point I hope he waits untill Sept. to go to bc because I want to do my xmas shopping up in NH. .....It is not just about the xmas shopping, I don't want him to go so soon at all :^)

May 21 is my birthday! Good day! Who knows, may be we will end up together on that one. Chris has to work out a few kinks from his ever so young past that he will be clearing all this up. I was hoping he could get out of here sooner, but it is looking like the summer time. He is my child that likes to keep me off balance!

I sent Bryan to Europe last summer. I spent almost a month enjoying my time alone, but now with him really gone, gone, I miss him like crazy. I do however like missing him from a far. The bathroom smells really nice and his room is clean all the time. I can actually see the top of the dresser.
OH GEEZ Chris,
We are fully aware of what the SEALS do . And I think they are seeking to protect America. But we dont need to have that discussion do we ? Rather we shouldnt be having that discussion. As for me I seek to protect our moms feeling here :)
I am in for the sweet cold drinks on one of the remote islands! Someone could throw in one of those guys that would carry me around like Cleopatra! I would be set and never have to return to work again!
Wait we also need the guys with the palm tree branches fanning us :)
Lets go for whole enchilada !
I am really in now!!!! I forgot about the guys with the palms! I could learn how to be high maintenance this way!!!!!

My PIR is 4-25. Coming up shortly. I am looking forward to having dinner with all the Moms from the site on the 24. Would you like to come!!! Not sure the guys will be fanning us, but we might be able to arrange it!!!!
Yes I would love to come ....... have talked to Mary about this a lot. BUT alas I live in Oregon.
We did a dinner w/ parents before PIR. That is how I met Lynndear :)
It is great
WHOOP WHOOP you are getting close :) PIR is so cool, BUT seeing the change in your child is AMAZING. Wouldnt want to do the BC thing again, BUT would love to do the PIR weekend again.

Hey Molly I could get the plane to swing down and grab you! I am sure AA would not mind! You are only up the road from me! I am in So Ca.
