Thanks - Mary!!!
Could you explain the ASVAB scores? I only know Derek's overall score.
Hey Brenda, Got to do some homework on that! Let me look into or perhaps one of our recruiters can speak to those scores (?)
Brenda - I posted in the education forum ASVAB scores and the job ratings that they will results. Thank goodness, you are a math teacher...you will probably be able to add them up better than I can!
Hey my son is at Lackland right now going on his 5th week(almost done) he really loves it and is happy that he picked MA. He got his orders and is going to the beautiful state of Washington(whew) so that is where we will be going for summer vacation this year.
Washington State is beautiful - especially in the summer months, you will enjoy your vacation there and the bonus will be seeing your son!!!
Hi,
My son just graduated on 5/23, and he is going to A school for MA, but right now he is on hold they said for at leaset 2 weeks. Is this normal did this happen to your son. Cause my son is fustrated and wants to move on to A school and get started. Please let me know
Thanks,
Toni
Hi Toni, Greg was on hold for about a week then had to wait another week to start class after arriving to A school. He is ending his fifth week and loves it. Only 2 weeks left until he comes home for 2 weeks!!
Wasn't long ago that we were counting down the days until their PIRs - now it's countdown to their first leave. How exciting!
Toni,
My son is heading for bc in 7 days and then on to A school. What does your son do for the 2 weeks he is on hold? Is he on hold at the A school location? Just curious in case we are faced with this too. Good luck to your son.
Christine
Hi Christine,
Well while he is on hold he still stays at BC but with some priviligles. Then after a week he was told that in 2 days he will be leaving for his A school in San Antonio,TX for master of arms school. By the way he really loves cause we sent him dow his cell phone and he call me all the time now it's really been great for that reason. It's getting better for now.
Toni p.s. any other questions don't hestitate to ask.
My daughter, Hillary, is in A school in Virginia Beach and just got her assignment yesterday. They told her she will be going to Bahrain. I know where Bahrain is but can anyone tell me anything about this deployment?
Susan, I don't know anyone personally stationed there but there is a group for Bahrain Moms on this site. Also if you enter Bahrain in the search window there seems to be a fair amount of comments on it.

Will your daughter be getting leave before reporting?
