OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi Everyone - I was trying to drop this message on people's pages so it would be more personable - but I figured it would take me to next Friday to finish and I have already got airline reservations TO GO TO TUCSON to meet some more amazing US Navy moms!!! So. . . .a (distant) cousin of mine sent the family this email. I asked her if I could share his address with "my website" and she said "Sure, he would LOVE getting some mail" So . . . will some of you WONDERFUL US Navy Mom's help me out here. I will PM (private message) you the address. If you are not my friend as you read this - it is only because one of us has not asked. (You have to be "friends" to PM someone). Just ask - I will be your friend!!!

Here is a message from my cousin whose son is in the Army stationed in Iraq. I told her I knew of some moms who would help out!! I hope we can get him cards from all over - REPRESENT the US NAVY!!!!

Good Morning,

Just a quick note to give you Scott's address. I guess you have heard a helicopter went down this week. It was from Scott's unit, 7 of his unit were killed. We have not talked to Scott, but Cody has. Cody said Scott was down, but well. Please keep these men and women in your prayers. Scott would love to receive mail. His birthday is October 6.

Thanks for letting him know you are thinking about him.

Gxxx and Pxxxx

Just wondering if you could send him a card - be sure and sign it a US Navy MOM!!!
Thanks, Brenda Sue
