lol...Brenda, you were the one who was giving me advice when Zack was in BC and now I know exactly what you're talking about. I was so scared and nervous that he wouldn't pass battlestations. And now, I would love to experience PIR all over again. I remember seeing the snow in your picture, and you wrote to me about how cold Chicago was.... I laughed...and didn't pack my boots. Who would have thought on 3/21 we'd be having a blizzard during PIR. You are so funny and so right at the same time. I'm an empty nester now and no more sons (or daughter) left to go through bootcamp. Darn!
Do you think it will STILL be snowing April 25th?!!! They are supposed to be seeing snow this week in GL...I haven't owned snow boots in years!!
I can't take much more!!! I can usually keep it together. I had three graduations last year, with an MA degree, high school, and middle school. I was cool as a cucumber. This is killing me..........

I am really excited to meet everyone. Molly and Shell need to be booked with us!!! Lynn we need you too! Joyce where are you!!! It is so true. I would not have made it without you. Last weeks laughing session has kept my on cloud nine and reminded me what was really important about the whole experience.

I am waiting to hear from Bryan. You, my newest and most favorite friends will be the first to hear!!!!

Mary......Here we go girl!!!! This is it. The countdown to Great Lakes. I will be thinking about you next week as we move closer to one of the most important days in our sons lives!!!!

To us... I would put up a glass, but I need Shell's assistance. If you are out there can you give us a festive party glass!!!!

Kimberly
Kimberly, A couple of moms got phone calls yesterday! Gas chamber is done! Woo-hoo! For our division, they are doing the BS on Thurs/Friday so I expect that is when we will get the next phone call. In Nick's letter this week he said they are on overdrive with final inspections, drills and just getting ready for BS.

It's going to be a tough week to get thru - glad we have so many great moms coaching us along. The difference with this graduation Molly is - you haven't seen your son in two months, limited calls if any, he is training for a whole new life and we are only getting small glimpses of it via this site and brief letters each week. Almost to the end but this week will probably be as tough as the first week was!
Okay Moms, Cell phones on ring not vibrate and watch for that 847 area code. They will be tired but so relieved they are done. Congratulations. Don't forget pics of Moms at the dinner. Wish I was there but will relive it through your words, descriptions and pics. Of course I will watch PIR on Friday and think of your extreme joy and pride on seeing your sailor.
Holding my breathe waiting for any area code to call our house! A couple of moms got calls yesterday and everyone sounds well. We are taking camera, video and hoping to filming the opening of the dinner.

We wish all of you experienced moms could be there with us but we will be thinking of you and appreciating all the support that you have provided us over the weeks.
I am thinking maybe on Wendsday we should have a N4M pre=PIR party right here so that Joyce,Shell, Lynndear, Brenda and a host of all the other crazy's out there can celebrate with you guys before you leave.
(( we could open the cafe ? ))
So thoughtful of you Molly, lord knows we won't be sleeping that night!!!
THANKS for including ME - I definitely WILL JOIN in any celebration - BUT I will definitely be celebrating myself - that evening - well not by myself - - -

I will be with MY SAILOR in Virginia - celebrating his GRADUATION from "A" school!!!!!!

The only scary part of this for me is - - - he is going to be stationed somewhere now - Mom wants him close - but he wants to see the world - please help me pray that Derek finds God's will for his life and follows it!!!!
That must be really exciting for you! Scary I am sure, but what a great ride he has been on! Now he will see what all his hard work has done for him.

What A school did your son go to? Bryan is going to Virginia also. He is supposed to leave on Monday the 28. I am concerned, but very excited! To the point of not being able to sit still!!!!

Kimberly
Kimberly, if he is going to Damn Neck - have no worries. It is a nice base and the beach is close by!!!
OK....What is Damn Neck? Not familiar!!!! I thought the base was by the beach. I will be frequenting the place!!!! Will you be joining me there also????
