Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Our November and December Sailors!!
We have a very special mission that we are going to ask all of our NavyforMoms.com members to support for the holidays.
Although the Adopt A Sailor program is only a few months old, as a group we have supported troops in Kuwait, Afganistan and Iraq. With the upcoming holiday season, we wanted to continue to support our sailors that we know won't be home with their families this year.
This group has grown so tremendous with almost 200 members and we had a goal in mind that would take alot of support. After much research and some emails inbetween, Molly and I are pleased to announce that our Sailor of the Month program for November and December will be...
The USS RODNEY M. DAVIS
This frigate will be home to about 250 sailors for the holidays.
Working thru their chain of command, we have received approval to support these sailors. This is an amazing opportunity and honor for us to be allowed to adopt this ship. This will be a big undertaking for our group but we know that Navy for Mom members know how to show the love!
Deployed ships often have limited mail deliveries so we have committed to having our mail delivered December 1 - December 8th. This will allow them to contain all of cards and holiday wishes together and deliver them to the crew before the holiday.
Our hope is for EVERY Sailor on that ship to receive a holiday card signed by Navy for Mom. We would like to include a $10 international phone card in the card so those Sailors may have an opportunity to call their loved ones. If you are not in a position to send a phone card, please do not let that stop you. Just write on the back of the envelope - no phone card included so as cards are distributed, some sailors don't get multiple phone cards and some get none.
So many of you have really stepped up the last few months and are spending $20 or more just shipping packages to our Adopt A Sailor receiptants. This will be an easier mission - no packages to send, no lines to stand in at the post office...just your holiday wishes with a regular postage stamp!!!
If you are a school teacher, Sunday School leader, Boy Scout or Girl Scout troop leader or part of any organization that would like to spread some holiday cheer to this group of Sailors, we would love to load them up with many holiday messages of support and cheer. Please think about using this a project for your group.

As soon as we get some more stories from aboard the ship...we will share...
This was the first port for the davis is quite sometime and most sailors got off to stretch their legs.....
So not alot were aboard......so waiting to here from the ship-when they go underway....and the guys will really be reading those cards.....NOt that they have any free time....JUST that....well I believe....Alot of sailors will be quiet in their rack....busy reading holiday cards......and a few tears will be flowing...

He is gonna get some of the Davis guys...to write to the kids......he said e-mail would be best since he doesn't know when he will be able to send mail again and also thought he could get alot of sailors to write!

Is this anti-snow dance..We so need it in the Pacific Northwest..Spokane airport is almost closed and it just keeps snowing. We are having the roof guy come today to clean our roof off. I am worried with 50+ inches of snow..Cabin fever is really sucking. Ia m so used to getting in my car to just get out. My little toy VW golf just can't handle this weather adn my husband I think is getting tired of taking my every where...Dawn lets start the dance..

WOW - it is so neat to "hear" the excitement coming from the Davis.....has the CMC gotten over the shock and awe Diane? Staci have you heard how he liked the special scrapbook you made for him?
This has been hands down the best Christmas EVER!!! Sure does remind you that it's all about reaching out and touching someone or better LOTS OF SAILORS!!!!
Okay Molly what's up next, I can't wait to get started again. Colorado Moms are meeting for the first time on Jan. 11th and I want to be ready to go - with lots of help from Debra - The Snow Gobbstopper Mom in Colorado Springs.
Diane, Heather, Karen and the rest of the Davis family I am so excited to print out what you have been sharing and pass the love on.....look to grow Molly, look to grow. -

They would all love to hear from some of the sailors. All of the kids (Elementary and Middle School) were so excited about doing this project. I had parents stop me on the street and tell me how much they had heard about it from their kids. khankins1@cox.net. -

I removed his name because of Opsec but wanted to post what we received ( I suppose sunday BUT I didnt check email until last night) ------ anyway LOOK isnt he just adorable, ahhhhhh what a sweet heart Thanking us for a phone card. I figure every letter we get from these guys is to all of us, because they dont realize that we are this team they just see what name signed the card.
I included my email addy in each card - just in case you know ? LOL LOL
Its little things like this letter that put tears in my eyes. (ahhh shoot if you know me by now everything puts tears in my eyes) LOL But thats one of my many endearing qualities (LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL )
