Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

He's an ET! Thanks it is a 12 hour trip! Haven't really spoken to son this week he took his ACT's yesterday as he is looking at officer's school....
I just love the fact we can find all kinds of travel info here! It really helps!

I was also had a very encouraging talk with my sailor the last couple of days. He did well on his last exam, passed his PFA, is off of Order Quiet, and is excited about moving onto the new material. We asked him if he would like us to drive his car out for A School Grad and then fly back; or buy him a round trip ticket for him to come and see us. I am a little disappointed, but he wants to come back home and we will miss his A School graduation. I have told him that he somehow has too get some pictures for me. Not likely to happen, but at least I thought I would put in my request. :-)

Hi all, was hoping you wouldnt mind if I joined your discussion. My daughter is in class 1110A but I can't seem to find any others there....so i figued this is pretty close. My daughter loves the program but has one thing that she finds difficult. She really misses her girl friends fom back homewand says its hard to make friends with other girls because ther just aren't many there...in fact she is currently the only girl in her class. She has made friends with a lot of the guys but says she misses having a best girl friend! One of guy friends did introduce her to his wife and she is happy about that. Are there any moms of girls her that may be feeling the same way? My daughter doesn't even havre a room mate!

Thankyou Polly-Anna. One of my daughters classmates introduced her to his wife who is also on base along with their children.She says she is very nice and she really enjoys their company. I didn't realize that power school was not as cloisterd as A school...so that is a great thing too!

My son had his first ME (I think that is right) test today. ME is the last section for MM A School. He called me so angry and upset this morning when he got his grade, 2.66. It is the lowest he has gotten so far. He said two of the sailors failed the test. My mother's heart is totally bummed tonight, but I know this is all an important part of him growing up into a man.

Yeah, my son said he is enjoying the material too. Glad to hear your son is doing so well. I am sure they are all looking forward to moving on to Power School. Eventhough my son didn't do well on his last test, he still is passing.

hello all! Just returned on Tues. from Goose Creek! we stayed at Villas they were wonderful!. But a car is a must have. We did a lot of touring of Charleston, went to Folly Beach it was all beautiful! Went on base as far as we were allowed saw the gym where they graduated from A-School... my son played it down as graduation is no big deal... It really can't be much as its a tiny gym like as big as an elementary school gym/cafeteria... Power School is the big deal he said...
Took his bike down to him, from PA ... no car... he was thrilled to see it.... gives him much more freedom! Phase 3 is great.. also was happy to see more jeans and t shirts(that don't say navy)..and shorts!.... shopped in Nex... great prices!
