While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I agree with you.. Which apartment did you move into?? I'm at 1998 at eagle ridge.. But stuck inside the house all week.. If you want, me and a few navy wives were thinking about meeting up sometimes this weekend.. If not maybe sometimes during the weekday..

My husband and I have decided to see how much of a wait it is for on base housing. He is an FC and will be at A school for quite a while so hopefully we won't have to wait long. There are many advantages and disadvantages for on base housing as opposed to off base living and vice versa but I think it would be better just to wait.

I was hoping to get on a wait for housing as well, but I am a little lost!! "A' school has gone from 19 weeks to 30? what my hubby said when he got to call me a week ago... So, I have no idea what to think or do. His PIR is 13 November. We have two children and just need to know more before we can continue planning- if there is such a thing at this point :) Have you been able to get any info on the length of the wait?

Not exactly sure about how long the wait times are yet, but there are many sailors that have been waiting for almost 6 months for the FC school. You might as well get used to the 'Hurry up and Wait' thing...I'm trying to get used to it myself, but I'm so ready to 'be' with my hubby again.

well I contacted the Housing at Great Lakes and doesn't sound like too bad of a wait, BUT with the wait and ATT, indoc, all this other stuff we didn't know LOL, will his "duty" be at least 6 months so the Navy will move us?

I'm not sure where the office is but I just called and updated my address through DEERS and then faxed in a PCM change form to Tricare and it was all changed over within 24 hrs.

The TriCare office is on base at the hospital, I think it was on the 5th floor
