Anyone have a son or daughter that left for boot camp May 11, 2011?

My son left for boot camp yesterday.  Wow! What a bittersweet day!  I'm very proud of him, but he left our nest empty.  His brother is in AIT in the Army.  I hope to hear from other parents who might have someone there with him.

Just received my form letter with my son's address and graduation date. He is at Ship 03 Div 218 and will graduate July 1, anyone else? So glad to have something from him, can not wait for a real letter.
Tuesday May 10th
Tuesday, May 10th

What day did he leave?  Nothing here yet :(

Tuesday, May 10th

day before mine.... we got our box yesterday.  So, maybe we will know soon.

My daughter left for boot camp, Tuesday, May 10th.  I called her recruiter today to get her address.  Sending letters out tomorrow.  I'm excited and scared for her, her father and I were both Army.  She is Ship 02 Div 934.  I haven't received her clothes yet.  When I do I'll probably cry, she's the last out of the nest.
You inspired me to call and get our sons address, my husband had told me to be patient but when I saw your post i knew I was calling first thing today! He also is ship 3 but division is 222. Haven't received anything in the mail yet we were thinking his pir would be the 8th but reading below it might be earlier that would be wonderful, this is our first experience with the military, unbelievable how happy an address made me, i feel a little connected now.

I know exactlly what you mean! I feel the same way!

OHhh so you have one that changed directions too.  My son has taken a lot of ribbing because he went Navy instead of Army.  His dad, brother and cousin are all Army.  His uncle and another cousin were also Army.  So he has had to hear it all from them and from all his dad's Army buddies....but he has always taken the different path for things, so this actually was so him.

We actually directed her to the Air Force but she wants to be on an aircraft carrier.

I just got my daughter's letter -- she's in Ship 02/Div 934.   Does this mean they are in one of the drill/performance divisions?
