DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My boyfriend left on Oct. 25 and other members of his DEP group were leaving a couple days after.
We'll have to wait and see if they know each other. Shouldn't be too long before we get their addresses. What is he planning to do? My son's going AT in the nuclear program, submarines.
Nuclear program as well. :) But he wants to be on a carrier.

I actually just called down to my bf's recruiter, who of course was out to lunch, but he is going to call me back with his address. You might try that so you don't have to wait. :) I only called since I was not going to be sent his address. He's such a good son, he sent it to his mom and gave her the I made it to basic call.
I got our info. He's ship 07, Div. 036. Got the box today too. No surprises, except his notecards with the general orders on them. He was still studying the night before he left MEPS.
lol So was my bf. haha He's Ship 03 Div. 022.
Yes My son left for BC on 10/28 have you received his address yet?
No letter yet. I have an addy from the recruiter I'm using for now.
My son left on the 28th. This is my second son in 7 months going to bootcamp! The 1st one got out of A-School in August and is already deployed in the Arabian Sea. This one will be a MT, Missle Tech, on Submarines. Got the box Monday, Nov. 1st. Got the letter yesterday, Nov. 3rd. Also got an unexpected call from him last night saying that he needed information to complete some paperwork. He was obviously in someone's office and couldn't talk. Just said what he needed. Supposed to call back tonight to get the information he requested.
They're bound to be in the same PIR, I would think. Still no letter, and I'm so darned close I could drive up and get it. Phooie! Hope the call went well.
recieved the letter yesterday ship03 Div 031!
Keepin my fingers crossed that we get our letters today!
