Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

OH I almost forgot, you should go to the facebook page US NAVY Recruit Training Command. They have posted pictures from the 17th and my son is in at least three of them. Was great to at least see his face. Totally made my day

It's great that you think you found him, but those recruits have been at the RTC for longer than your recruit. Those recruits have been identified as being in the 04/10/2015, 05/01/2015 and 05/08/2015 TGs.

Recruits and later Sailors really do look alike. Even when you don't find your recruit it is nice to get a glimpse at what is happening--or will be happening later.

Hello, My SR also arrived 3/17. Have not received the box yet but anxiously waiting. Looking forward to his next call and hearing his voice again. I already wrote a letter and just waiting on form letter as to where to send it. Have a great day everyone!

mine did!! I have a 19 yr old son, left 3/17 in the Nuke program...worried mommy--only son...single mom got a text from O'Hare, then he called my sis for "i'm here' call

Just ask yourself before posting, "Does this apply to just my recruit/Sailor? Would this help my worst enemy or the country's worst enemy by knowing this?" If you can answer "No" to both, then you are probably safe in posting. You never want anything you post to be able to be tied directly to your recruit or Sailor. You always have to remember that this site is not private and ANYONE could be reading what you post. You also need to think about that when you post on fB and other social sites.

awesome!! @ LunchLady... I accepted your friend request.... I met 2 other nukes at my son's swear in... is your son a gamer boy, too? Oh my gosh...the 2 I met and my son are all the SAME!!! Kinda nerdy...lil goofy...I felt TONS better sending my boy off to the unknown. My son was very calm, cool and very together when he left.... he was in gifted classes at school, but very lazy, opposed to homework, etc....but very, very smart....just didn't feel the need to show it in his grades. however, he could get very overwhelmed--deer in headlites look, completely panic-stricken..I didn't see that at swear in and I didn't fall apart, like I thought I would....sure would like to know how he is doing, tho. sorry to blather on...missing my boy
