Hello,
My son is currently in the Delayed entry program. He will be leaving for boot camp in August, 2013. His job he picked is Aviation Machinist mate. I was told by another mom that while in the delayed entry program you can create an account on the Navy knowledge online website to complete the ATT class before boot camp. We tried this and it didn't work. The instructions say to call the DEERS office and verify your information. We did that and apparently personnel in the DEP program aren't in DEERS. The second option was to obtain a sponsor (recruiter said it has to be an E7 or higher) but he had no idea what to do. Has anyone heard of this and does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a sponsor to set up a guest account.

I would guess that is what you are talking about, not sure if the program is still out there. But if they don't let DEPPERs on to NKO anymore than I would guess it isn't
Thanks for the link. They do still allow DEPPERS but, the recruiter said he isn't in the DEERS system yet and he has no idea who imputs them into that system or when. Your information has to be in the DEERS system to logon to NKO. I know you can get a sponsor but not sure how to go about that and the recruiter didn't know.
http://jacquesricher.com/NEETS/ has the info online--I'm not sure if it's current. That would at least give your future Sailor a head start on the info. The recruiter should be able to set up your future Sailor with an ID and password for NKO.
Thanks.
Do you know if the ATT class is the same regardless of the rate you picked. He is doing the AD.
I've heard that part of it is the same.
