Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

By now you all have recruits and can go to your My Page and change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" to "Enlisted." Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what will soon be happening and what to expect.

Mine is at the airport waiting. It's been delayed. He told me he's in charge of the seven of them so he had to call DOT because of the delay. I'm home staying busy trying to not text him every five minutes <3

My son isn't due into O'Hare until about 9pm. He is traveling with four others. So I guess that means he'll be hanging with her too.

I am guessing my daughter and the other recruit she is traveling with will be waiting for your son to arrive before they take the bus over to RTC...

Could be all the waiting and wondering is crazy. I'm going to clean house just to stay busy until I hear.

The buses make many trips from the airports to the RTC each day and the recruits who are there leave when the buses arrive. See First 24 Hours and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.

would you happen to have any info on the 57th annual naval recruit ceremony at the cardinals stadium? my ex had the letter, but his house burned, so we have no clue what the schedule is! His recruiter is new and not very informative.

I'm still waiting. Probably another hour or so still.
I'm in mountain time so that means he's been going since 2am. I feel like if he has to be up I'm staying up too.

Well she landed at O'Hare and is eating in the airport before she reports to the terminal. She went to the USO and they gave her money to eat dinner. When I saw her this morning she was so excited and had a giant smile on her face. I just hung up with her and she still seems like she's very happy and ready to stay up and get yelled at for the next two days or so. I on the other hand have super mixed feelings. I'm very proud of her and I'm super nervous for her. In my opinion this is one of the hardest phases of being a mother....letting go of your babies! I hope all your future sailors have safe travels today. I'm sure all our kiddies will be meeting up at some point tonight. Hugs to all.

Well.... I think she is getting ready to go on the bus. She sent me a text about a half hour ago and then nothing... I'm assuming they made her turn off her phone. Here we go...I'm not sure if it helps that I've been through it or not. LOL
