Hello to All...my daughter was in A school in TX and was recently told that as motivated and determined as she was, she simply was not a good candidate for the program and she was going to be reclassified.  She is now in "holding" and is waiting to hear what/where her new school/rate will be.  Does anyone have any idea how long she could be in "holding" before they inform her of her new school/rate??

I don't have any info for you but I do know of a young woman from my area who didn't do well with the first A school she was in and she was later assigned to another A school and did very well. She has since graduated from C school and is about to be deployed. So it does happen and life will go on. Take care and good luck.

How did things turn out for your girl?  Just wondering.  I have a son that was reclassified during Boot Camp, and just arrived at "A" school.  I hope your daughter had good mentoring and that she found her first "niche."

How was your son reclassified in boot camp? Did he initiate it?

I'm curious about the reclassification process. My son did well on his test (93) went DEP and informed he needed to take college algebra for his senior year to get into the program he wanted. But he had to make a choice and they wanted his grades in April but naturally he couldn't, get them until he graduated in June, and they told him he would be re certified in boot camp. I'm really hoping he gets what he wanted.
