Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My bbygrl left December 5th and I miss her so much. I haven't heard anything so I am just holding on to our last texts. Does anyone know when they are able to write? She has a two year old bbygrl and will be away from her this Christmas. I am an Army Veteran and never thought it would be this difficult...

You should be getting info letter soon. Then you can write her as much as you need. Phone calls don't start (generally) until the 3rd week. Her baby girl is going to be so proud of her momma!!

Hi Aidersmom,
My son just graduated bootcamp but it felt like yesterday. I will say that my son wrote often and I had family member flood him with letters of encouragement. He did tell me that after the 3rd day he was ok. Every phone call that he made home, he sounded more and more excited about chosing the Navy as his career.
He's in A school now and I am super excited about his future! #proudnavymom

My daughter arrived there on the 7th. I'm anxiously waiting for my first letter from her and the box with additional info. I was hoping we could go see her on Christmas but only the recruites graduating on January 6th will be allowed visitors. I'm sad, I miss her so much and it hasn't even been a week!!!

It does get a little easier. The box will have her belongings she couldn't keep. Then about 7 to 10 days you will get the information letter with her address and PIR date. My son has been there for almost 2 weeks and I haven't got a normal phone call or letter yet. Hopefully in the next week or so. Keep busy and write letters now so you can send them as soon as you get the address!!

Thank you! I've never had a time that I couldn't just call her up and it's driving me nuts. I'm a mom that likes to hear about how her day went on a regular basis. She may be 24 but we are extremely close. I kind of don't like all the unknowns! I'm hoping she wrote me a letter yesterday!!! I hate her being gone, but I'm one proud Navy mom!!

Hi Amanda! My son also arrived on the 7th!!! I received his box today....and balled when I opened it!! My "baby" is 18, but doesn't matter their age...they will always be our babies!! I've been writing letters...that helps! Sending you lots of hugs!!
