he shipped out the 9th from nj and called me 1am on the 10th telling me to tell his mom that he'd mail out the grad package info to her within a week or at least that's what i could make out since there was so much noise in the background. i received his clothes that he shipped home that he had been wearing only 2 days after he left. and i know i won't get a letter for awhile. it's just we are starting to get antsy with no word on his graduation date yet. a few people who i know that are in the navy or are enlisting are saying we may possibly receive it this week! help i guess our only other option is to wait a little longer and then contact his recruiters. i see other kids have arrived after him and already know their dates so i'm assuming his is october 8th as well but i don't have his mailing address or div # or anything :(

Patience! He's only been gone a couple of weeks and you don't usually hear from them by mail for 3 weeks, so you should hear something this week. You can get his division # and his address from his recruiter so you can start writing to him right away. Once you know his division # you'll be able to compare notes with other family members with sailors in the same division and you'll all find out when PIR is.
yea unfortunately his mom has his recruiters info and wants to wait for it to come in the mail.... so i have to wait and hear and i already have 3 letters written out for him too :(
sailorgirl do you know his ship #
This is why it pays to have a really good relationship with the mom. I kept my son's girlfriend in the loop on everything that happened, when she got a letter she'd call me and read (most of) it on the phone, and I'd do the same to her. I'm glad I did all that because she's now my daughter-in-law and we have a great relationship. Sorry his mom isn't being nice about this.

Navywife: Unless things have changed a lot in the past 2 years, his recruiter DOES have his address and division # and should give it to you! This recruiter should be reported to his superior.
well i called and the recruiter gave me the address today so i was able to mail out the 3 letters and pics today with them inside!! i thanked him profusely!! spoke to his mom and she's ok after all guys!! we are just all baffled that there's still no word. they had a date but the recruiter wasn't sure they said we just have to either wait to get the info from him in the mail or wait for him to write because that date isn't definite the one they have. things can always get pushed back. it stinks because none of us can plan anything until we hear from him. so right now it's a weekend prior to what we though but we aren't booking anything ugh!! and my parents are now telling me if we don't hear from him i can't go!! i'm having a hard time with all of this. i really hope he writes me. and he's ship 13 div. 326!
You should look at the boot camp website (google Recruit Training Command) bootcamp.navy.mil and there is a ton of info there. Ship 13 div 326 is scheduled for graduation on 10/1 as long as they pass everything. My ex-husband an I Both got letters today from that division (we are in different cities). Hang in there, you should hear something soon.

Navywife: Our recruiter had the address within 48hrs and was more than willing to email it to me. We are one of the lucky ones with a dedicated recruiter.
got a letter from my guy today saying as of now it is october 1st unless he gets pushed to october 8th!! and his dad received the grad info packet today saying the same and theres a number for us to call just in case there are changes but we will be called if it's pushed. it just makes it harder for all of us to make plans. but my mom and i are making reservations for both weekends and putting holds for the hotel just in case then dropping it once we know the definite weekend! thanks though. it was relief. and i bawled reading his letter. he's doing wonderful and misses me so much and he can't wait to see me. it was a wonderful feeling reading it!
sailorgirl.. his parents will be notified ASAP if his grad date changes.
ok thats good..... yea in the letter he told me as of now it's october 1st but if he's ASMO'd it'll be october 8th they'll let us know.... but he's doing well.. i have no idea lol..
