Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Confused!!

My son is in Chicago at A school. I am a little confused when he was recruited as a corpsman they told us nothing about going to train with marines as FMF. My son seems fine and excited about it! But I think we should have been told as he was recruited. Can some one please explain to me what this is and why they done this. Please help I am a confused mom.

My son is currently in A school, set to graduate April 23rd. He has been told he is being assigned to the marines 2nd medical battallion from Camp Leujune. After FMTB , he will be going to Afghanistan and I am scared for him, but have faith that the training he receives will keep him safe.

that is so cool. That is the unit my son is with. Kyle suffered a broken leg and will head back out on the next deployment but Camp LeJeune is a really great base. My suggestion is besides lots of prayers, get to know your FRO, ours at LeJeune is Mark Borie and he is a great guy.
Your son is in good hands, mine is with the 3/6 Lima.

my daughter will be in the hospital corps after boot camp. She does not get to go to a school until the last of september. She knew from the beginning that she was going to HM school, because that is what she choose to do. Her recruiter told her from the beginning that more than likely she could be working with the marinnes. I was tlod not to worry by a retired marine,they hold utmost respect for the corpsman because in time of need they know that they are the people who will ultimately take care of them. I have even wrote corpsmen in afganaastain. you can do that also just go to www.anysoldier.com click onwhere to send and you can sort names by rhe branches they serve in. Click on there names and it will come up the country they r in and what there job is. Lok up vasquez. she will reply.she both wrote and e-mailed me back. I know what u mean as a mother do like i am pray that they will be safe and happy. Biggest thing is to trust ur chids instincts.

Hi, my son is in Chicago at A School. Is it true he will for sure go to FMF C school for training after graduating from Corpsman School?

Julie, not every grad goes to FMTB. Mine didn't - he has been on shore duty in Japan for 2 years. He is finally going to FMTB in October and is VERY happy to be going finally. Many grads are sent to other duty stations all over the world. He won't get his written orders until shortly before graduation. Everything before that is just rumor and hearsay...and there is a lot of that!
