Just got news that my daughter who left for boot camp on April 7th is on Ship 6 Division 929.  Any other moms, dads, boyfriends, girlfriends, wives, etc., out there with someone in this group?

Ok, ladies, if I understand correctly div 929 has BS-21 at 8:00 tonight. So far all of the posts sound positive, "awsome" being one of the descriptions. I'm going to go with that thought tonight. Since I probably won't talk to David tomorrow after BS-21 please post about your calls from your SAILORS! :)

Also, from what someone (I was too tired when I read it last night so I don't remember who it was) posted our division may be sitting together. That'll make it easier to meet up but maybe not so easy to see our sailors. I'm glad Kent and I both have our own binoculars!

Gramsue, I just found your post from a couple of days ago. For whatever reason, the posts on this site aren't following a date order on my computer. I think Janis' son is a drummer too. My son is carrying the Arkansas flag, Tallmama's daughter is Louisiana and geckolea's son is also carrying a flag but I don't now which one.

I'll be thinking of all of our recruits...sailors, and all of you tonight.
Yes, my son is a drummer, too! I hope we can see them clearly. I remember my brother's graduation years ago. All of them looked alike. I picked my brother out at least 10 different times and none of them ended up being him!
Janis,

you just made me laugh! I've done the same things at band events. One halftime David's first year I was bursting with pride as I watched him march around the field. As I pointed out "my son" to someone my husband said "uh, no he's over there!" I'm glad I'll know which flag to watch for! :)
We think Eric is carrying Minnisota but I know he thought it might change. At that time he said to sit at the right side of center. I so need to talk to him... He is one of the Section Leaders. Don't know if that means he is hated or is a good guy. I know he is a good guy but he is can be demanding...of himself and others. So tonight's the night. So when do we get the calls? Right after, like tomorrow during the day or will it be like tomorrow night? Don & I are getting pretty wound up and excited. Plus we have this whole Hospital Corpsman scenerio at the last minute. We don't even know his schedule yet...I'm whining. I better get used to this HUH! lol
If I remember correctly the first calls started coming in around 2:00 Central time last week. It's great that Don (husband?) is getting worked up too. Mine's trying to be Dad Cool about the whole thing. Betcha that once we
get David to ourselves I won't be able to get a word in edgewise! I'll report back on that next week! ;-)
