You definitely need an attitude adjustment. (Tongue in cheek here). LOL (this stands for laugh out loud). Hahaha. OK. Well, do a pro/con on a piece of paper. Look at it a million times a day. Unless he has a fabulous job waiting for him or you have his college tuition in the kiddie, he is exactly where he should be. Trust us, there are many, many who would love to trade places with him. Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't get sent home because of one thing or another. Some do get separated from Boot Camp. The very first one to leave the nest - keep praying that he'll succeed and stay away. That way, it'll give the young ones the bright idea that they should do the same. 5 kids - one of them is bound to be a "real home body" and will cling on forever. Good luck to your son. Please thank him for us. Enjoy the four at home.
who needs a attitude adjustment? (lol)
It's so hard for some of our new moms who has never been thru letting a child leave the nest. But we have to keep reminding them that it's a good thing. It's A Good Thing. IT'S A GOOD THING. And to keep a sense of humor about this incredible journey. My sailor finished his commitment to the Navy last year. He is home working as a civilian and doing well. Your journeys are just starting. Enjoy the ride. If you are so busy feeling the lost, you'll won't feel the wonderful gains your sons/daughters are making.
Take care, everyone.
my son is the youngest of five lol and i understand i have not open my son door since sunday! but i know in my heart he is doing what he wanted to do and trained for for 5 months so i feel he will put his all into it! as a mother we never want them to leave and want to make sure they have what they need and want but the best thing we can do for them is let them grow and be who they are and all they can be, we trained them for this day and they love us always. i tell my god to help me be strong and help me not be selfless he gave me this son to do great things and he will we were there teachers now time to let them work! we will get through this and they will too!
thats what I'm feeling, just emptiness. Knowing she won't be 'home' for 5 yrs!! She's my only, we are very, very close. I found a note in her romm for me & dad. Prob read it tomorrow, my husband has to work late tonight.
Today wasn't too bad, kept busy with spring cleaning. I do find myself looking at the clock, wondering what she's doing. Like now, are lights out or are they still training? stuff like that :(
we are all doing the same i made spaghetti tonight and my son loved that it was hard to eat looking at the clock wondering what he was doing? many want make it but can you imagine how they will feel if they don't! they want to succeed or they would not have went i hope all make it good luck to you moms i have been talking too!
no I can't imagine how they would feel if they didn't make it all the way thru! I know it's happened! My daughter will make it, she's strong and stubborn like dad, but def has moms soft heart lol I just can't wait to hug her! lol
right there with you Vicki!! I haven't done anything to her room yet. going to move it upstairs like we planned before all of this came about. but at the same time, will she ever come hm to live?? maybe for a short period of time. uugghhh... :(
i think we should just wait a few days and then do something with there rooms i think we need to process what has happen then we can move forward they are working hard to make it and we are standing behind them saying yes you can so no hurry changing there rooms process then prepare to move things don't rush it!
