My daughter left for bootcamp July 15th, how can I get her mailing address? Can she send out 2 form letters, one to her father and one to me or are they allowed only 1 form letter? Her father and I are not on spending terms so getting her address from him will be next to impossible.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Recruits typically only send one form letter. Once she has been gone two calendar weeks, if your ex has not given you the address, call the recruiter and get the address from him/her. Then double-check the info from the recruiter against that in http://bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp or Ship/Division--How it Works. You can find a copy of the current form letter at 3. The Official Form Letter from Boot Camp. The brochure that is included from MWRGL about hotels and other things is at http://www.mwrgl.com/gen_info/rtc_graduation/RTCbrochure_10_2012.pdf. There is info for you in Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit to tell you how to get the info to fill in the blanks on the form letter if it goes to her dad and not you. See the paragraph above to help with that.

MegsMom,

Call her recruiter!!  He/She can get her address within the first week that she gets to bootcamp.  Only the recruiter that processed her in will have the access to her address so I hope you know who that is.  The recruits only get to send out one form letter and only once.  I hope she does contact you tho.  Watch your phone for an 847 area code in case she gets a chance to call you!!!!
