Be patient Moms.....see my reply, below!  They must be really busy...or the mail is just really slow :)

Just got a letter from my adoptee!  It's dated the day before my surgery was (12/19) and I just got it! WoW!!

He's a very religious fellow, from the sounds of it!!!  (And a terrible speller too, hehehehe).

"Thank you for the care package that you've sent me.  I really appreciated it and is very thankful for your graditude.  I know God will touch you heart and bless you for the great things you have done!  And please than the great artist for the awsome card.  It really touched me.  I hope you & you family enjoy the holidays and I pray that God keep you in his hands"  "Once again thank you!  Merry Christmas & Happy New Years!"

Awwww.....He's sooooo cute!!  I'm getting another package ready for him as soon as I start to feel better and "get with it" again!!

That's the kind of Mom Love I LOVE to shower our boys & girls with!!

Thanks Jeano. At least we know the boxes are arriving!!

Good deal!   some of my ladies from VFW have called asking what to bring...sounds like we are going to have a really great box!!!

I have the box and label ready (will bring the customs form to the meeting) can't wait to see what goes in it!!  Would like to know how long (est) they will be in the sandbox, so we could send another box or ????!!!

Have a great Monday....mine not so good....Sailor left back for base!!!  Even after 10 years, it's hard!!!

I have a feeling my VFW Ladies are going to have more than what will go in a large priority mail box.....should we send to "my adoptee" with a note to share....

If you will look on US 96.3 (radio station out of MS), they also have a note on there about these guys not getting any mail!  Hopefully, we can get some more people on board!

Looked but couldn't find any info on troops. Was it about the MP's we adopted or a new group?

The MP's we adopted.  I googled my adoptee's name and that radio station came up.

My VFW ladies out did themselves.  We have a very small group (14) and we stuffed 2 priority mail boxes (lg) with goodies, Cards and pics of us!  I found "my adoptee" on facebook and have been corresponding with him!

That is where we received the info from.....MS-Linda Dixon, our very own cookbook MOM.....she made us aware of the troops!

I just found this thread...are there any Sailors still in need of mail?  Please let me know where to locate addresses if there is a need.

Susan

Suzy, We received this information on Dec. 6 and all were adopted. We don't know if they are still there. You can go to the website and adopt a small group there (mollysadoptasailor.com) Thanks for caring! Pat
