Welcome to Your Division!  I hope you will be able to attend the Meet and Greet.  Just to make it fun I hope you will take a little time and design a simple flag to represent your division at the Meet and Greet that will be used to designate your divisional table.  While we will all meet together as a PIR group it will help you find each other as a division as well!  Show your creativity!!   Each division will have some individual issues because each division will be unique.  I hope you can support each other in those issues here.

Hang in there Rachelalice it's a lot tougher on our SR then it is us! Just keep writing him letters of encouragement and the everyday stuff of which you used to pester him with! It'll give him a thrill knowing you still count on him.

Don't hesitate to ask questions--someone is always there to give you the answers or lead you in the proper direction. For most of this --it's new to all of us.

Just think--he's 1/3 of the way through this--only 6 more weeks today! We'll be at PIR before we know it!

Tracy
i begin and end every letter with a paragraph of encouragement.
i look forward to his letters and ive got countdowns on my computer and in my agenda book at school.
i know we can all get through the next 6 weeks together.
Hi! This is my first post on NavyforMoms. My husband and I dropped our son Reece off at the Arizona Military Processing Center in Phoenix, AZ on September 7th. Surprisingly, we all did OK with the goodbyes! When my boy was a baby, I would sit and cry at the thought of him ever leaving my sight, let alone going off to bootcamp! But here we are...and I am too proud of him to be sad! I finally got my first letters yesterday...and an hour later I MISSED HIS PHONE CALL! I felt so bad because his dad was also in a bad cell service area when he tried calling him. Next, he called his girlfriend, and and thankfully she answered. She passed on all the information to us...namely that he is enjoying bootcamp! He likes everything except getting yelled at all the time:) I am so happy that my son is doing great! He says he has made tons of great friends! Probably sons and husbands of yours!
First welcome to our group....we are so glad your are here. I look forward to getting to know you. Boy, I can sure relate to worrying about your son ever leaving yur sight...and yet being proud...you will find many moms here who share your same feelings. I just think you must be a very special person that you put your son's needs first. I am sorry you missed his calls. I am happy that you are joyful he got through to his girlfiriend and made contact with someone who was able to share with you!! Enjoy your time here. I hope you will be able to make it to PIR and the meet and greet that will be the night before!!
Thank you Lynne. I plan on attending the meet and greet! Let me know what I need to do for it.

Let me get this right Mandarose's boyfriend is your brother...I swear I am going to have to start taking notes...lol!!!
Yah Rachelalice is practically my sister :D
Has anyone received a phone call since last Tuesday? On other posts, moms say the second call sometimes comes about a week after the first. I am keeping my phone close by this time!
Hi Reecesmom, I have only received the one phone call which was last Wed afternoon. I'm hoping to hear from my son again soon....
Oh! Thats right, it was Wednesday at 1:18 p.m. (AZ time) when I missed his call. I am not letting my phone out of my sight! Thank you IndianaMom. I am not receiving too many letters either:(
