For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Me Too - I just think of all these questions when he calls and I know I will just ask "Are you doing okay?" Looks like we have 13 divisions graduating on that day!!! What is you son doing after bootcamp? Maybe they do know each other!!

I don't know how many are in each division.. Just saw on a site that 13 were graduating on that day. My son is going to school in MD - Master Communications. This is a whole new experience for our family..Planning on 4 for grauation but the two grand-daughters are coming with their mom to meet up after ceremony. The girls miss their uncle and one is 4 and having a hard time understanding. Have you gotten any calls yet?

It is very hard when someone asks about him - I still get teary eyed - Yeah, Moms need to know important stuff - like are you eating, resting,lol. My other children are older, also and they were all very close. I Just keep counting the days until PIR and we get to see him.

Have you looked at the questionaires that are in the discussion area - there are 12 that are in a set jessica gave us and then I have reworked some and divided them into categories like food, life onboard the ship, general information, and OMG the recruiter didn't tell me about this! My son isn't very wordy...so these will help him tell me what I want to know. They are true and false, fill in the blank, multiple choice and short answer. They are funny and serious. Check them out, might help you out, save you some time and you can cut and paste....like I did..~~

Hello Ladies! BANavy - it's me! The graduate from Owasso :-) how cool is it that our sons are in the same division? For those who don't know, we live in Oregon. My son will be going to Pensacola for A-School as well. He is going to be an Apprentice Airman (I think?) I can't keep it all straight. My daughter in law is TEK, she should be joining our little group soon and can probably tell us for sure. From what I understand there are like 80-88 in a division, which equates to a whole lotta people at graduation. There will be 3 of us for sure, my daughter just started cosmetology school isn't sure she can get the time off...which will be a total bummer! Looking forward to meeting you all!

BANavy - wonder if we can ask them in letters if they know each other or if it would be a way to be singled out? Maybe I'll just ask him if he has met anyone from OK? My son was actually born in Tulsa so that wouldn't be too much. I plan on making reservations this weekend, just haven't had time yet! I hope we get letters - since we are so far away, we probably won't get one until tomorrow if we get one...a phone call would be even better :-) Have a good day!

I think you will be safe to ask if they know each other. My understanding is the RDCs are too busy having fun with perfumed envelopes, smooches on the back, brightly colored envelopes, stickers (some poor former recruit's mother covered his with Sponge Bob sticker's to make him laugh...oh I bet he was laughing when he got done with all that extra PT) and extra large cards like the 3 1/2 foot one a mother sent one time....lol!! Then there are the lovely scantily clothed pictures significant others send...need I go on...I think you will be fine...lol!!

I bet they know each other pretty well...think about it...80 guys 7 shower heads 10 minutes...they train together...work tegether...sleep together...I bet they know each other quite well by now!! Probably by last name.

My daughter in law just called me and her boss (who loves my son) got a letter from him today! She won't open it - darn her - LOL, but I'm hoping that means when we get home we have one waiting - and I hope all of you do too! So excited and not happy my mail doesn't come until later! :-)
