Welcome to Your Division!  I hope you will be able to attend the Meet and Greet.  Just to make it fun I hope you will take a little time and design a simple flag to represent your division at the Meet and Greet that will be used to designate your divisional table.  While we will all meet together as a PIR group it will help you find each other as a division as well!  Show your creativity!!   Each division will have some individual issues because each division will be unique.  I hope you find this discussion helpful and fun!!

I know it's tough...but I think it was one division and that division didn't get mail....so hang in there...brighter days are ahead...we turned a big corner...less than 40 days...we can do it....:)
We were hoping for a phone call - BUT nothing.....Counting the days..
Good evening all - guess what tomorrow is - YEP! Should be mail day! Woo Hoo! Here's praying we all get awesome letters from our recruits and the mom gets more pages than the wife this time...just kidding my favorite daughter in law TKE. LOL
I feel the same way, The thought of a letter sitting in the box at home is both exciting and a bit nerve racking. I hope the day goes by very quickly so that we can all go home and check our mailboxes and be greeted with a wonderful letter from our sailors. Enjoy the day!
Did anyone get letters? I feel so disappointed!!!! My mailbox was empty and I felt like yelling at the postmaster saying, "Are you sure?" Maybe tomorrow .......Hope everyone else got one or will get one tomorrow also!!!!
We didn't get one either - I was so bummed. I even went back and checked again. Maybe we are going to get phone calls instead :-) Always positive...otherwise I'd be crazy. Been gone 3 weeks today...ugh.
I HOPE! im dying here lol. i want to know everything!
praying for all of us & our recruites :)
We got letters today! TKE still got more than me, but she shared so I'm okay :-) Sounds like he is settling in, still have rough days, but he passed his test and got bumped up so that is good. Still waiting for a phone call though - would love to hear his voice. 5 more weeks - we can do this!
Hi all - just talked to my son. It was good until the end when they told him to get off - he said he had an hour so I chatted away, asking questions etc and well he didn't get to talk to his wife. So now we are all bawling. It was 15 minutes. Best 15 minutes I've had in 3 weeks, but worse feeling like I do now. To put it in his words in one of his letters..."this shit sucks". He did say none of his division is grad n go, so that is good anyway. I hope you all get calls today as well.
Same here BANavyMOM - my son also called his girlfriend and she said he sounded great!! Gonna try the PO today for letters!!! Have great weekend! Things are sounding so much better and the days are counting by - October is always a busy month - which is great for once!!!!
I love my daughter in law like one of my own, but it is hard to think that we as moms aren't number one anymore, and hard to let go of that...but it is the way it is supposed to be whether we like it or not LOL. I am so glad I got to talk to him, but feel very guilty that they didn't get to talk. I immediately sent him a letter and just told him to call his wife from now on - she shares everything with me so it's good. I have been thinking about him non stop again since the phone call, its almost like it was the first week...ugh. Anyway - gonna go out and enjoy today - weather is turning tomorrow - gonna be more fall like - only in the 50's on Monday (been in mid-upper 80's). Enjoy your weekend everyone.
Very true - we are not #1 anymore - I am just so thankful he called her coz she immediately called me to tell about the call. As long as one of us hears from him lets me have contact. Did get several letters today !! just watching that timeclock tick away!!!!
