Welcome to Your Division!  I hope you will be able to attend the Meet and Greet.  Just to make it fun I hope you will take a little time and design a simple flag to represent your division at the Meet and Greet that will be used to designate your divisional table.  While we will all meet together as a PIR group it will help you find each other as a division as well!  Show your creativity!!   Each division will have some individual issues because each division will be unique.  I hope you find this helpful and fun!!

So disappointed I didn't get a call today. I had every phone with me at all times! And no mail either! My daughters message last week indicated she wrote me one but it still hasn't come. My boy also went back to Afghanistan yesterday (Army) so this has been a bummer of a weekend.
That is a lot to bear. Stay strong! I understand the disappointment. My son said he had written one letter but I haven't received it. I might as well have had the phone attached to my forehead. I didn't make a move without it. No call. I hope we hear from them next Sunday. Hang in there.
I will put him on my prayer list and pray...you hang in there..
She just called! So wonderful to talk to her! She sounds great even with ALL her wisdom teeth out! She said the food is pretty good. Passed all her tests. They got all of their uniforms but haven't gotten their dog tags yet. She was laughing because I knew more than she did. I told her it was thanks to this site!

She also said they haven't received ANY of their mail yet but will soon. She also said their letters went out today so looks like we will be getting mail this week too!

Oh my, it was so good to hear from her.. She cried...I encouraged... It was so wonderful! I love my sailor and am so proud of her!!!
Hi biegorleec, got a call from my daughter as well. So glad to hear from her as hadn't had any mail. Apparently, they held their mail from last week til this week as well. My daughter said that it was something about divisioning up late and didn't have enough mail people or something...said it was a long story! All 4 wisdom teeth, WOW. Well, she should get some good sack time. I think they keep them sick in quarters a coupla days. That's the thing my daughter misses the most...sleep! What rating is your daughter in? Where will she b going after Boot camp?
Hope we all get mail this week, but I really hope THEY get theirs...they need it...
Thank you for sharing! Geez, my sailor girl will probably have a pillowcase full of mail, and not just from me! Good for biegorleec. So, the Navy dentist did a good job? Also, I booked our flight today: SMF - DEN (3 hour layover, yuck!) - MKE arrival at 9pm. With rental car, we'll arrive at the Comfort Inn aroung midnight. Gosh, I'm tired thinking of it.
How about the rest of you? I am wondering because I know we will all meet sooner or later, I prefer sooner....
Hi Gabby, I agree the do need their mail! Aside from the general missing each other, she is doing really well. I think she is an e2 and is going to Intelligence. He A school is in Virginia. She said there are a few girls in the Divisiom that are going there as well. There is a possibility they might have to leave right away but she didn't know just yet.

It was funny, I told her I kept singing the song from American Tale ever since she left (we both do theatre) and she couldn't believe it as she does as well! How cool was that! I told her to be ready for a sack of mail when they finally deliver it!

She was surprised they gave them privileges to call today but you could definitely tell she was so happy we connected. I swear we spoke for about 40 minutes!

I am booked as well for graduation. Land at Midway around 2 on the 4th and fly back Saturday afternoon. Is it the 4th yet?

She seemed very upbeat! They are halfway there!
Intelligence...cool...do you know where she goes foe school in Virginia? Used to live in maryland and had friends in navy in Virginia...nice bases! My daughter is in SpecOps going to Pensacola for aviation rescue swimmer. She has at least a year of training there.
I sure wish they knew if they were going to leave right away...could anticipate better...my mom and I are flying into O'Hare at 11:30 on Thurs and leaving Sunday at 7. We want to spend as much time with her as we can....Have to share time with her dad, his girlfriend and grandpa from Maryland...can't wait til the 4th!
Sure am glad the powers that be shined on them aand let them call! I agree...half over, yeah!
And I like the American Tail song...funny ya'll were both singing it...Take care!
My son and i sing that song...Somewhere out there...right that is the one you are talking about...how funny...I LOVE that song...
Yes it is!
Hello Lynn and Good Morning! Could you pass me the details about this "Meet and Greet" please? What, where, when, and who. "Designing a simple flag to represent a division:" Any specifics as to size, dimensions? How many people are at a divisional table? I have something in mind and look forward to dusting off the sewing machine. Thank you. Andrea.
Oh sheesh...I don't know..lol...do I sew...I just thought it would be a fun idea...I will bring styrofoam to put them in so not too large...you know centerpiece size...lol...and really we have had so many people rsvping....I think it will now be divisional areas...lol
