Hi all. Got my form letter last Tues (8/9). So I know my SR is in ship 2 div 946 and expected PIR 9/30/11. I haven't received any true letters yet though. The recruiter told me before he left, no news is a good thing, but it's hard to wait. I just keep sending letters. So, my SR is HM bound. Anyone else?

Thanks for putting this here Dianne - I wasn't sure where to put the division so I put it on the pages.  You are the veterans - you let me know what needs to be done!!!  I think I have you as an administrator so do what you think!!

nothing from my husband.....................and it is just killing me.
Who is your husband?   I can only say thanks for your sacrifice.  Is this the 1st time you've been away from him? I'm sure he really misses you as well.

My Husband is SR Jacob. Yes this is the first time we have been away for 3 years. I am so proud of him and feel a love for him that I cannot describe for embarking on this journey. I know this will pass and I will laugh at my breakdowns when the time comes but for now, Im not asking for a 3 hour call or 10 page essay. I just want to know he is doing ok, and I dont mean physically (he's 6'4 lol) I mean his morale, I know he is strong but I just want a little vital sign lol :)

and Thank you for your kind words :)

I've gotten nothing from my son - I'm hoping to get something soon.  Like this week or early next.  Maybe?!  I'm crossing my fingers - but like they say - just keep going about your business - doing what you are doing - and one day you will get a special surprise in your mailbox or phone.  Keep writing them letters - that's what's important - that and looking toward September 30!!
I have sent him a letter just about everyday.  I realize now that some of them are going to break his heart because I went on about how much I missed him!  I read some of the post from other moms and realized that is the last thing he needs right now.  So I drafted 2 new ones yesterday and told some funny work stories and about the dog getting sprayed by a skunk etc.  Thanks to all of you !  It makes it much easier having others to relate too.
Anybody see any sign of life yet? :( All i got today in the mail was a credit card offer......booo I suppose its better than a bill! lol

Nothing Yet there is always tomorrow!!!!    Have you made hotel reservations yet?

Got nothing - my husband says that maybe today or tomorrow.  I think he feels bad for me because I am pitiful waiting for the mail.  Hahaha!  We made our reservations a few weeks ago.  We are staying at the Residence Inn in Waukegan.  The Meet and Greet is at the Ramanda on the 29th.

What time on the 29th?  And How did you find that information.  I made reservations at the Red Carpet Inn it is 1.5 miles from the base.  Not a bad price and close.  By the way No letters yet in Idaho. Hang in there Ladies it wont be long and we will be hugging them!!!

If you go the right hand side of the Group site there is a calendar and if you click on September 29 it has the information on there.  You can RSVP too - so that we can let the hotel know how many N4Ms will be there and I heard that sometimes they will have a separate room for us to see each other.  That's just what I heard.
