Thanks for the info. It makes us feel better that we will hear from our son soon. Keep the faith!

I got a call from my son today! It was wonderful to hear his voice. They are all counting the days..just like we are.

He loves getting my letters...that say nothing new here.... but it is still a letter!  just keep sending them!

I'm so excited for you!! What time of day did he call and how long was the call?

Are you going to graduation? What will be  your son's career?

He called about 5:00  he had 20 min.  I will be at PIR. He is in for HM Corpsman. headed to San Antonio TX.

(ship 3 div 333) just got a call from my girl. She sounded so sad and lonesome, it about broke my heart. she said things are getting a little better but not much. She is currently on LOD but so far no word that it has or will delay PIR. Thanks for listening I think I'll go cry now.

What is LOD?

she said limited light duty. A tendon in her foot keeps getting tight and pulling. I hope those of us that didnt get a call will soon and those of us that did will soon be getting another. Take care ladies and know that the Iowa Navy families are here with ya.

I'm so sorry about your phone call. A couple weeks ago our son called and he was so sad and homesick. But during the call, I asked him if someone was with him and he said yes. It was awful.

 Hang in there!

yes thanks!

Your post makes me cry....but I have to say I do feel a little better knowing that my girl is not the only one who sounds sad.. I cried all night long, nothing helped! Just want to hug her so bad and tell her she can do this!!!
I sobbed all night last night, missed the call from my son, he left a sad message, sounds broken. I just wish I could hug him.  I know how you feel!
