OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 819 & 820. It only happens a few times a year when there are two special ops groups in one TG.

Please be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in one of these divisions. Although they are still in BC, what  they are doing may be slightly different from what the other division are doing. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

Which main page do they keep track of those dates?  There is so much information on this site I sometimes get lost.

Yes, which main page?

The Main Page of this PIR group (you are on your Division DIscussion...which is within this PIR group)...look up top:

The big bold is your Division DIscussion title:

Ship 04 (USS Arleigh Burke) Divisions 819 & 820 (brother divisions)

ellen0502 posted (or created) the discussion, then the date...the next underlined item, "PIR 09/28/2012 TG...) is a direct link you may click to get back to the Main Wall of the PIR group...then the last underlined "Back to PIR......Discussions" will take you to the Discussion List Page...where all of the Discussions are for this Group.

diannep tries to get a list going for you all. If you write your recruit and ask...and IF they know...you can let her know and she can try and get it out to the other moms.

Thanks FTLM.

Keep in touch privataly with the other members of this division. They may know specifically when it is for this division.

Got a surprise call from my son tonight.  He wanted to tell me what to bring to PIR and to bring 2 forms of ID.  I should get "The CALL soon.

NurseP missed my call last night =( !  Bummed about that. Just posted on here and thought it was on this group, but it didn't show up.  So I'm not sure where it went?  Feeling kind of weird about that...oh, well.

NurseP, also wanted to ask you...Did you join the specialty group for Pre Buds that Cor wrote about a couple pages back?

I am on pre-buds/moms.

Recieved my ribbons and decals today they are very nice.  I love them!  Makes me even more excited about PIR!!!

So proud of 820 for winning in the Captains Cup Saturday.

Phone calls are beginning to come in for other divisions. Hope yours are coming soon.

Most of you are packing. DO NOT forget the chargers. lol

Thinking about all of you Mom's today. I remember this day & the next few so well & just a few months ago.
