Hi ladies,

My husband left for bootcamp on April 22nd of this year. So about a week ago today. I receved the box of his clothes this morning and I was filled with joy. But sadly i did not get a mailing address to send the letters that My children and I have been writing to him everyday. My question is, How can i get that address? All I got was clothes and shoes. Is there another letter coming? Will I possibly receave it with my DEERS information? And How long will it take to receave that paper work? I really want to start mailing out these letters to him so he knows how much we think of him. Thanks for the help.

We will get a formal letter in a wk or so with their ship/division mailing address. I'm still awaiting the Box. My SR went in on the 23 rd.

As Kim indicated, the form letter with his address and PIR date will come this week. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and When Will the Recruits be Paid? and Information for Spouses (info on DEERS is there) within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) for some information that will help you and I invite you to join that group while you are there and check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the members) as well.

Thanks so much! I will keep checking The mail... (:
And I will check out those sites you recommended thanks so much

You are very welcome.

Still no letter for me,  how about you?

Did you get your box yet?
I did on Monday... Just his phone and clothes were in it. I had to sign for it with Fed Ex.
Awesome! I just called my husbands recruiter and asked if he had my husbands mailing address yet. He just emailed me and he had it. So maybe you can get the address that way as well. (:

Yes, the recruiter may have the address and it may even be correct, but it is best to wait on the form letter before sending letters. See Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit. Double-check the address the recruiter gave you against those at http://bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp, but we strongly encourage you to wait on the form letter before sending mail to your recruit.

I def. Understand that. :)
