Lots of good info. The only thing I could tell my son when he signed up (he left for boot camp a week ago) is that he can't go into the Navy as a lone ranger. The success of any team is to work together. I'm glad to see that he may have written us on Sunday because I didn't know how long it would be before I heard from him. I missed his call when he arrived at boot camp and haven't heard from him since, just a voicemail on the missed call.
Thank you for sharing. The info was very helpful!
Lots of Great Advice. Unfortunately my son didn't read this before he left, but when I write him I include some of your advice.
He is now in what he describes as HELL week. There are a lot of tests, drills and inspections. The poor dear has trouble with folding his sleeves and making his bed. He has also said he lost count as to how many times he was called a Retarded Jackass. Too bad they couldn't be more politically correct. Not so offensive. Perhaps they could say "Mentally Challenged Donkey"? Why do they have to name call at all? Does that teach them Or tear them down mentally?
Craig runs a website for Deppers only.

Tell your recruit to sign up for this website. Craig who currently has a son in the Navy and was Navy himself can answer many questions and get your recruit ready to go.
REMEMBER MOMS THIS IS FOR YOUR RECRUIT TO JOIN - NOT YOU.
My daughter leaves December 13th 2011. This is right on Time. Thank You...She's at a DEP meeting as we speak. Printing it for her to read when she gets in. Homework from mom.
Can anyone go to Graduation? I know I'm ahead of myself. LOL.
