When I go up for my husband's graduation I will have a two month old, my mom is going with me to help out with him, but how long is the graduation and has anyone gone to a graduation with a baby? Will I be able to go somewhere to breastfeed if I need to?

Yes, many brign babies and small children. You should be able to go into the bathroom or outside the hall to breastfeed. The graduation starts at 9am and ends abut 1030 or so. Most get there early though at about 7am.

When is his grad date? Join the PIR group ASAP. It will be your lifeline for info and support. If you can't find it let me know

I'm not sure when he's graduating yet, he left about a week and a half ago.
more than likely his PIR date is 3/11 here is the link to the group if you want to join it and hang out till you get the form letter to confirm    http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir31111
Thanks I'll do that! :)
now your PIR MAY be 3/4....when you get your form letter you'll know for sure. Have you called the recruiter for the address?
just in case here is the link to the 3/4 group  http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir342011
Yeah I've gotten his address and he said I could call in a week (that was tuesday) and get his graduation date before I get it in the mail.

How did graduation go? I have a four month old and need to breastfeed, will have to take the train and bus to get to graduation.

Oh wow this was a year and a half ago. lol It went amazing, we ended up flying and breastfed him on the plane no problem, once we actually went to the graduation I decided to bring a bottle with breast milk because the dress I was wearing I couldn't breast feed in, but if I had it to do all over again I would have worn something that was easy to breastfeed because you end up sitting around a loooong time. And by the time I got back to the hotel with my hubby I was so engorged and I forgot to bring my pump, so I had to sit there and feed him and hand express the rest of my milk. No one will really care if you are breastfeeding at the graduation. Most everyone is too excited seeing their own family member that they aren't paying attention to you.
