Welcome!  You will learn a lot during the next few weeks if you join the DEP leaving in July group and the Boot Camp Moms groups.  Just read, read, read and soon you'll know more than your son does about what to expect.  :)

About 10 days after he gets to BC, you'll get a form letter from him with his address and PIR date (Pass in Review/graduation).  Don't lose the form letter because you'll need it to print off your parking pass later.  BC is usually 7 1/2 to 9 1/2 weeks long, but you won't know until you receive his official letter.  Join the groups and WELCOME!  N4M's has an amazing amount of information and support!

Thank you so much for the information. I guess I will get all the info for the graduation on that letter.  We live in San Benito, TX that's about 30 hrs from Illinois, is there any special place for the family to stay when visit?

When you get the form letter, it will be part of a packet of information.  There are lists of hotels, motels, sight seeing, etc.  There is no designated area for families.  After you get the packet and know your SRs Ship # and Division #, PIR Date you should join that PIR group.  Then you'll know what everyone elses plans are too.

Good Luck, and hang on, it's a roller coaster ride and ready to take off!
