Is it true that the recruits only get 4 tickets for family membesr to attend Graduation?

This will be difficult ? My son comes from divorced parents that are remarried. That is four

right off and his older brother is anxious to attend also. Someone is going to get their

feelings hurt!

Just wondering if there is a solution??

There are no "tickets" per se. Your rct puts 4 names on a list and those are guaranteed admission to graduation BUT I have never heard of someone NOT getting in that wasn't on the list that had proper ID and knew division # of the Sailor they were going to see graduate. So, don't worry. Also kids 13 and under don't count towards the list.
I work on a Military Base and i am a civilian employee. I have ID I figured I could get on base anyway. Not sure?
To get on base you have to have a gate pass...the password was in the form letter. You won't be able to download the pass till 13 days before PIR. You can print off several passes at one time...you handwrite in the info on the pass.

If you take a shuttle onto the base you don't have to have a pass BUT if you plan on driving onto the base at all...you'll need that gate pass
Thanks so much for all your great advise. I have already sent a list to my son which my other son who is 13 was one of our four. Now I guess I can send a revised list so my mother, his grandmother can go to graduation. Thanks again!
Doesn't matter if you have a military ID or not, you have to be on the guest list to get into PIR. RTC base is like no other base. Even if you have an ID and base stickers you can't get on that base, unless you have the RTC Sticker, and only way to get that is to be stationed on that base, you must take your orders showing you are being stationed at RTC to the pass and ID to get the sticker.

If your name isn't on the list you will be required to wait in the family center until all guest on the list have entered. If there is room, right before PIR starts they will let the extra people in.
Four seats are guaranteed per recruit; however, children 12 years old and younger do not count against the four-guest maximum. The graduating recruit is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your recruit via letters regarding who will be on the access list. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS. All visitors must have valid photo identification. This requirement includes children (school ID, Social Security card or copy of birth certificate). Please be aware that security may deny base admission to guests NOT on the access list if they are not accompanied by a guest who is on the access list.

Ooops, thanks Angie...I always forget if the age for the kids is 12 or 13

My son's PIR was on 12-3-10  He actually had 9 guests.  One was 6, so technically just 8 guests.  He is also from divorced and then blended families.  A guy in his division's family wasn't able to come so he allowed us to use his "seats!"

Even without his name, we all got in with no problems.  We were prepared for grandparents and stepmom not to be able to get in if necessary, but it wasn't the case.  The week he had his PIR, there were 7 divisions!  There were still plenty of seats!
