For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Graduation tix for Div 304
Hello all..this is new to me so if I am not doing this right someone let meknow. I am looking for 1 or 2 tickets for the graduation ceremony for Sept 16th..Div 304. My younger son would like to go with us and my graduating son's girlfriend also, if we can find any extra tickets/passes. If your graduate is not going to use his 4 passes and you would be willing to let us use them I would really appreciate it. The recruiter told me that this was the best way to try to get ahold of any tix. Thanks for any help in this matter.

There aren't any tickets per se. Each recruit is allowed to name 4 guests (excluding children 12 and under). These guests were named in your form letter. Your recruit should ask around at BC and ask if another recruit (with fewer than 4 guests) put his girlfriend and younger brother on THEIR list. If you haven't you could also post a comment on the PIR 09/16/2011 group. But the key is YOUR son needs to be pro active, follow up and make sure the names are on the person's list and relay the recruit's name and division number to you. With 13 divisions, I don't know if there will be extra "space" - sometimes, with smaller PIR groups, families with more than 4 guests will take their chances and get a seat after everyone else has been seated. Can't remember the procedure for that.

Thanks for the info. I have been writing to my son to ask him to check around...we only need one tix now for my son so maybe we will squeeze him in somewhere..I am sure things will work out..thanks again.

PIR Reference Information guymon, there is a lot of good info in this group. As you can see, getting info on this site is not straight forward. The reason is because this site was created as a social network to provide support but over time has evolved into an forum for information. The way the site is organized doesn't really lend itself to that task. Some of us have put things together (in groups, on discussions) to try and make it easier. Sorry is everything seems so confusing. You have to just read, read and read.
New Moms Stop Here in the group, we have our reference stuff organized as PAGES - they are located just underneath the member icons - check the stuff out too. There are videos of what your son is going through. Your younger son would probably enjoy seeing them.
