Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hello everyone, I am new here and wanted to introduce myself but wasn't sure where to do it at. Since I love to draw/paint and enjoy lots of arts & crafts I thought this would be the best place. My husband is in the process of enlisting (I actually have a question about that that I will be posting in the Advice forum). He was going to try to go Officer since he already has a degree but wanted to get the training and do more hands on work so he chose to go enlisted first, I am prior service enlisted and also already had a degree so I was ok with that. We have an 8 year old daughter named Hermione who loves animals, math, and reading (seriously she is a math wiz unlike myself). We are all three looking forward to becoming a Navy family. I had been lurking on this site for about a month or two now till my hubby decided for sure that he was going to enlist and so now, here I am!

Welcome Knicky!!

I'm a Navy mom of 1-1/2 lol.  Our dd is an Ens Nurse serving in San Diego at the Naval Medical Center, & we have a MIDN son that is a junior at Marquette University.  Time will tell where he lands within the Navy.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy basket weaving, wheat weaving and trying out various one-time crafts like i see on Pinterest, etc.

Glad you joined us!!

I love Pininterest! I also really like to try some of the crafts on http://www.cutoutandkeep.net I have a really nice sewing machine and a dress form and love to make my own skirts and aprons (still getting the hang of full dresses...just can't seem to get the arm holes right). I also like to make me and my daughters own Halloween and party costumes, we all three dressed up to go to Medieval Times in Atlanta, GA once. It was so much fun!
