Hello Navy4Moms! I hope you all have a wonderful 2012! I hope your Sailors all pass Bootcamp/BattleStations with ease and I wish them all a safe deployment. My Sailor has been in for a 1 1/2 year already!
Being in the military myself at one time... I know it can be challenging mentally and physically. But hey, if they can endure pesky siblings.. parents yelling at them to do their homework, take out the garbage and clean their room.. bootcamp will be a vacation... right? lol
Well.. I should get to the point of my email.. I have a hobby/business of machine Embroidery and sewing. I'm on FB (Say what YOU want, custom embroidery) or my personal FB is Kelly Worstell Leake. I have teamed up with Nicole of Pride Leather of Grand Rapids OH and River Bend Stables of Waterville Ohio.
This is what is going on. Riverbend Stables has been using their horses for therapy.. they help kids with ADD, ADHD, and so on.. well they decided to take it to a new level. They are now using their horses to give therapy for our soliders. Whether is was WWII, Vietnam, Gulf or our new Iraq Freedom war it doesn't matter. For those soliders that have PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) there is hope. Riverbend stables wants to help our soldiers by using their horses for therapy.
Nicole of PrideLeather http://www.prideleathercompany.com/services.html has been hosting fund raisers to help raise money. Nicole son Tony is in the Army. He served in Iraq, and was discharged.. and decided to go back and recently left for a quick training and back to war. I believe Nicole's blood is Red White and Blue. Please check our her site.
I also am trying to help. Say What YOU Want embroidery. I will "Say what you want" in stitiches. I can embroider on Teddy bears and mail them to your sailor. Towels, Hoodies.. even Toilet paper!
So if you send me your item... Hoodie for example I will embroider what you want on it and mail it back to you. I am very reasonable. It can say "Proud Parent of US Sailor" I have anchors.. or other designs. I will email you a computer picture of what it will look like before I embroider it.
I can also embroider on fleece blankets and mail them to your sailor.
Finally.. check this out. If you send me a picture of your sailor I can print it on fabric and incooporate it into a tote for you to show off to the world how proud you are! A portion of these sales will go to Riverbend Stables.
Okay.. so you heard my speach.. if you want to contact me on FB or: WonderWoman@French.Toast.Net
Thank you for your time.. and thank you for having such wonderful, honorable children! :)
