Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My daughter left on the 24th. Actually she was under weight and the recruiting office allowed me to drive her to MEPS so I could stop and fill her w/pasta on the way lol!! I am so grateful because it gave me the opportunity to spend some quality extra time with her that I would have missed out on. She spent the night at a hotel w/the other dep crew on the 23rd and I met up with her again on the 24th while she wrapped up her processing. She was very strong, but teared up somewhat during her oath. I am a USN vet and this touched my heart greatly. She sucked it up and was ok up until she got ready to board the bus to the airport and she broke down completely. I have cried off and on since the 24th as if mourning a death which sounds silly, but it's the only thing I can equate the feeling of loss to. I know she's doing the right thing and I'm very proud of her, but the loss is bittersweet. She is in Div 255 Ship 11 -

My son left on the 24th, he flew out from NC on Wednesday the 25th, got his "box" on the following Wednesday, but still no form letter yet. Holding up ok, Haven't touched his room yet, but anxiously waiting for a letter from him. Staying busy with work and a hobby helps.
