welcome and really this is the best thing since sliced bread lol everyone on here has helped me  i have 13 days (as my son says counting down the days) until my son leaves and as i said before over again lol thanks to everyone i hope u get the support from this site as i have and maybe we will all mostly all be a pirs together cant wait to meet a few i have been talkin to.......i get great info and advice ....we can all cry together laff and smile congrats to your son and you

Bobbijk - I know i will be crying, Klenex must do a good business in Great Lakes.

MidwestMom - I saw a post by you about not having your recruits name in your member name.  I've been concerned about this for a while now.  I understand the instructors at boot camp read what we write on here and I worry that I may say something they don't like. I've been thinking of changing my name and think I may do it.

lisarobin - they actually may be arriving at the same time and could know each other.  Odd being from different parts of the country.

jvptxmom - Navy for Moms has made this last year so much easier for me.  I would be lost without it.  Good Luck.

samsmom i know we need to by stock i went to sams club and bought a 12 pk box of them lol and already gone thru 2 lol
Keep your picture and I'll try to tie your new name with June 8 in the calendar.  We started together and you were my first connection with a mom who had a child leaving the same day.  LOTS of people have their SR's first name in their N4M name...so it probably isn't an issue, but if I was an RDC with time to kill one day, I'd be on this site to see if any of my SR's were whining to their moms.  Of course, the best idea is never to write anything negative, but something we may see as hilarious might not be as funny to someone else!  :)  Seriously though, how hard are we to figure out?  They have our hometown and state in our profiles and I'm pretty sure only one kid is there from my hometown at any given time.  I'm just making it harder, but these are posts that are open to anyone and everyone.

Welcome jvptxmom!

OK, families--June starts tomorrow.  As keeper of your calendar, start thinking now if you want the ship/div numbers listed behind your names or just the PIR date?  For those of you who want to keep your info secret (I did at first, but then gave up because I wanted to find out more about others in his ship/div, lol), you can just let us know your PIR date and the rest can give ship/div info.  You are all such a wonderfully supporting group--what a gift this site has been!

once i get the info i'll give it to you and you can post it.  she doesn't leave until 6/22 and i have absolutely NO information
we wont get those until the form letter right the ship/div info? same for me i am so proud and like u would love to know who is in our div lol

Thanks for the welcome and adding us to the caledar!

I was in the march group, it was nice to have the ship/div on the calendar by our names to see who was in our division.  Then we all broke out into PIR Groups and that is kind of the one you cling to until the end for details up to the day you leave for PIR, you see posts when calls are coming or when letters are coming.  Pretty cool.  Thank you for leading our Calendar Group and keeping it current.  I appreciate your hard work.
i agree thx midwest mom for keeping up with everything with you going thru as much as we are i salute u :)
I stole the idea from the March group.  Sometimes you feel like no one else knows how you are feeling, but all we need to do is glance at the calendar and it reminds us that there are plenty of others going through it with us, before us and after us.  You, J&R's Mom, are amazing!  You are doing this twice in just a few months!  You are our hero!  :)
Thanks, but I don't know about that.  My daughter was just skyping with our SR.  Nice to see his face.
