Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Keeping Our Daughters Safe
1. Navy Security -- OpSec
2. Daughter's security (use of names, reminder their superiors can and do read the posts) All should assume the superior is a part of the discussion!
3. General Security (remember anyone in the world can read these discussions)
4. Posting of pictures, e.g., remove names from uniforms, think twice about posting photos .. while fun, they can be used to tie mom to particular daughter
Support is what we are here to give and take but not at the expense of our Sailors.
So what I am proposing is for our group to have a discussion topic that contains all our ideas about how we can moderate our postings for the safety of our daughters. If you think this is a good idea, please post your suggestions. It would help if you identify the part to which your suggestion belongs, e.g., #2 (daughter's security) and #3 (general security): airbrush out the name of your sailor before you post it.
If the consensus is that this is not an idea worth pursuing, I'll delete this discussion. If we get lots of contributions, I'll try to put them all together and change this intro so that it contains all of them in one place for new members to read.

Good evening ladies, is it safe to keep pic's of our recurit on our page? If not I will delete all my pic's of her. Just want to keep my step daughter safe. Don't have any with her in uniform or things like that. Just pic's before she went to BC. Please let me know. Will change page if I have too. I will always have her in my heart do not need a pic to remember her. Prayers out to all our service men and women. God Bless them!
