Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

We saw him off today. 4 hrs at MEPS then we got go to the airport with him. It was an emotional day but in a good way. He was so excited and proud that any sadness about missing him was just gone. Anxiously waiting for "the phone call" tonight. He's a Florida boy so the weather at RTC is quite a shock I'm sure :)

I am :) I've spoken to his aunt and cousin who are wry close to him and they agreed to inform me of his address and when he form letter/the box comes in. I'm hoping by next week or so to receive a letter. :)

That's great. I know getting letters is going to make my son so happy. He is so close to his brothers especially. I didn't even cry when he left until his 14 year old brother did.

Same here. He left behind 4 younger brothers and they were very broken about it. I wrote him two letters for him to read before heading to bootcamp and I'm glad that I did. I am so excited to hear from him. Are you planing on flying out to his PIR?

Yes we are. I am praying that they get 4 invites and we can all go. We will make a mini vacation out of it :). Even if we only get 3 both his brothers will travel with us. He should get liberty the weekend becaus he's staying in GL after PIR, that's what we've been told anyway.

Same here! I am travelling from Guam, so it would be my first time in the mainland. My boyfriend will be heading straight to Pensacola,Florida for A school, so I think we only have a few hours with him, but it's okay though.. As long as we see him. :) I hope to know his division and ship # soon so I can start sending out letters to him.
