My son is leaving today as well.  From the San Antonio area. Good luck to him and stay strong!

My daughter is at the airport in Maine, waiting on her flight to head out to boot camp.. Very difficult time... My son went into the Air Force 3 years ago this Dec 14... Such a hard time... Savannah is my youngest too. I'll be happy to watch these 8 weeks an 5 days to fly bye, please and thank you.

My daughter was scheduled to leave today for BC. However due to bad weather in Chicago she has to spend the night at the hotel again tonight. She and five others will be flying out at 6:00AM tomorrow.
I am very disappointed because my husband and I took off work to spend the night with her at the hotel on Monday and be with her up until she had to board her flight today. Now due to her flight change we are unable to be with her when she leaves. #heartbrokenmom

I just got the call. It was earlier than I expected. Today was very hard for me but I am happy he is there and safe. Just one step closer to his dream. I do find it hard to be comfortable in my nice warm bed knowing he is being yelled at right now.
I got my call about 10 minutes ago. Im right there with you VKat. My daughter sounded great but its just so hard. Now to wait 2-3 weeks to hear from her again.. when i come home is when I cry the most. It was just her an i that live here.. So pround of you Savannah!
I also got the "I am here" call from my daughter tonight about 5pm Pacific time. Assuming they will be in the same division. I haven't seen very many moms of daughters with our ship date. We should keep in touch to share info!
Where did your daughrer ship from?? I know my daughter met a girl through instagram that was shipping yestetday also. No sleep for me last night. This is so difficult...
From Sacramento, Ca. I know she had met several people with the same ship date on Facebook, not sure about Instagram. She actually was supposed to leave on the 9th but she was bumped from her flight and so didn't arrive to Ohare until early the morning of the 10th and was picked up at 5pm CST with that days group.

My husband left on 10th as well from the Seattle area with the Special Ops division. I wasn't told that I could have gone to the airport with him. At MEPS he was told that he had to say his goodbyes.

My son left dec 9 from florida

My daughter was scheduled to leave for basic on the 10th. But due to bad weather in Chicago her flight was cancelled, and rescheduled for 6:10AM this morning. Her flight this morning was delayed by three hours, I finally received a text that she had landed in Chicago. But that's all I have heard. Has anyone else run into this same problem?
Will this put her and the others leaving from Cleveland a day behind everyone else?

My son arrived at RTC last night from indianapolis. I can't wait to begin talking with you all! Last I heard from Daniel last night about 7 pm and they were going to the USO he sounded great! When do we find out what division they are in?
