I feel kinda left out of the loop though. Everyone else has addresses and for some reason i can't get them to give me hers. They said she has one right now but it's only a temporary address and by the time my letters would get there she would be at a different address. We're leaving for Louisiana Saturday. I asked the recruiter if she could PLEASE text me my daughter's address on Monday. We will not be here for 2 weeks. Very disappointed i won't get her address before we leave. Good luck everyone! Hugs to all of you!
NavyMom...did they give you her ship/div #? If you can get that you can get the address from the RTC website.
They didn't give me anything. Said she wouldn't have her permanent address until Monday.
If your daughter left around the time mine did (December 15th) they may be together - but not quite sure. My daughter is Ship 3 - Division 085. Good luck with finding out. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Kathy Dee
yes my daughter has been in boot camp for about a week. we had a holiday/ going away party for her, with family and some of her close friends. We had a blast. This way she was able to get everyone together to write thier phone # and address in her little black book.
Dee, my son may have been with your son. He called from his cell phone and I thought I'd get another call... He is Ship 03, Div 083. It has been less than a week and I miss him. I sent his first letter yesterday and am starting his next one this morning. I heard the address I got may have been temporary. I will try to call his recruiter this afternoon and bug him again! Hang in there
Hello Dee Sailor Mom,
My Son Chase left on the 14th also and i have not heard from him either. I went to the recruiters office to request his address and was told he is on Ship 3 as well. I just wanted to respond to your comment about hearing him say that he is happy with his choice. I have said the same thing. I just want to know he is happy with the choice he has made and i will be happy. That would be the greatest gift i could receive for xmas. Just knowing my child is happy. I think we all carry around the cell phone constantly, forward the home calls and now i turn off my television at night just in case the phone rings. But its just funny because i have thought exactly as you. Well, I hope we both hear them say they are happy!
I'd love to see a week by week breakdown of what they will be doing. AND... I have NO information on mailing address, temporary or otherwise. Also... no ship or division info.
I did get the box today. Had her name on the outside. And on the inside flap.... {I love you!}
I'm crying again... but I'll get over it soon. I hope.
