Hi..We got a letter last wed.  Matt said they can only send on Sundays but can get mail everyday so keep sending. Yes we are going to PIR on the 18th.  He said they are already practicing for it.  He sounded very up beat and positive. Let me know if you hear anything.

Could you tell me what is in the form letter. My ex-husband received the letter, but he

won't tell me what it says. I know it has the address and probably the PIR. I called the

recruiter three times and emailed him and he won't return my calls. I am dying to

get any information I can.

What a jerk!! I'm sorry you're having to deal with that. In the form letter is the address, ship, division, grad date and info, the password for the gate pass (you'll need this to drive on base) and a few lines from your rct.

My boyfriend left December 14. We had a pre-Christmas, before he left, though it was hard because we knew he wouldn't be there for the actual Christmas. Its hard!

My son left for Boot on 12/14 and so far we've only received the box and a short 3 line note at the bottom of the 3 pg Navy form letter.  Would like to think they'd at least let them call home so we know how he is doing.  Have you heard from yours?

My son Jason is also Ship 09 Div 077 - anyone in this group receive a letter or phone call from their son or daughter?
KimberlyF when is your grad date? If it is 2/18 here is the link to the PIR group http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir2182011
Thank you for sending me there.  I've read others out there are wishing for the same call or letter and some were fortunate to receive one or both,  I'll keep in touch with that group so I know what's going on.  Again my thanks.
hope you've had some luck.. I have been fortunate our PO who signed our son has really been a big help to me / us when we need it.. if he's not there someone jumps in and takes care of things.. Navy will be a       great place for my son to grow and learn.. he was mature (sorta)  or as much as you can at 22 before but know he'll be a new person when we meet up on 2/11..hope the not hearing isn't as bad for them as for us.. meaning hope they're getting our letters..
