:o)

I see you have taken Emma's suggestion and joined DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in July; you will meet others with loved ones leaving that day/week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together. Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month Before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC. I also suggest you join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and New Members Stop Here and check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions there.

You may also want to check out Women in the Navy, Mom’s of Navy Daughters, and Mom's of Daughters 2.

Your future Sailor may want to join http://www.navydep.com to learn the ins and outs from the DEP point of view. Craig runs that and will steer her to some good links on there.

My son leaves for Great Lakes on July 16th. Where do you live? I am in the Cincinnati area.

Janet

My son leaves for boot camp on July 16th from Maine. He is our oldest of 5. I myself was in the navy and my husband is still in, soon to retire in 6 months. Doesn't make it any easier! He was excited to learn of potential co-booters. His name is Guimond. Looking forward to chatting with others.
My son goes to the hotel tonight, yes we got a room in the same hotel I'm obsessed. I need every second I can have with him.
Good luck my daughter goes tomorrow;(
I like you am having a hard time
Our son goes to the hotel tonight too. We will go to dinner and leave him for the night. Back up in the morning for his swearing in. I'm excited for him and proud but my emotions are unbelievable. We are from the Sacramento area.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in July, to connect with others with loved ones who are leaving today/tomorrow and may have PIR together. Also, check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last
Month Before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC
.

You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

(Group names within this reply are clickable links. To join a group, click on the group name and after the group page opens, click on "+ Join..." in the upper right.)

My son left for GL on the 29th too.  I have received his middle of the night call but nothing else yet, what about you?

Son left on the 30th, maybe same division, still waiting on the box to arrive home with details
