Susan,

I am so glad that you day went by as smoothly as it could. Poor Drew, no much sleep, but maybe he will sleep on the plane. Adam said they went to bed at midnight and got up at 4:00a.m. Ugh!

That is so great that the Army officer was so friendly and helpful. I'm sure that that helped your daughter forget about things, at least for a little bit. How awesome that you were able to have lunch with Drew.

I had to smile, when you said that the last you saw of Drew was when he was in the van. That's the last we saw Adam too and I tried to get a picture of him getting in the van. I hope it turns out. lol

I will be here later tonight, so we can all catch up again.
I just looked up Drews flight and it just landed 5 minutes ago! YAY!! I also went to weather.com and it's currently 67 and sunny. There is a high wind warning, they say record breaking winds!! Glad they landed ok!! Susan
One less thing to worry about :) Drew just called!! He sounded good, said he slept for about 30 mins. They are checking in at the USO and then going to eat. I bet your Adam is in the USO too!!! Isn't that cool :) Susan
LOL thats funny. I hope all this good eating they are doing today settles before the work starts!! Susan
Oh, Susan, Your day sounds great. Wouldn't you know they would be most excited about free food and books. lol. I hope I hear from Brandon soon. It sounds like everything is going as planned. Hugs. Kathy
Thanks Kathy. I am soooo happy he took his phone and I just got to talk to him. His sisters also got to say one last I love you since they will probably be in bed when we get the last call. I am giddy with relief :) I pray you hear from Brandon soon too!! Susan
A very comforting thought, Betsy - - what did they do before computers!!!! What a support group this has turned out to be!! I include all of my navy for moms moms every night in my prayers. I know we are all going to need them especially this week. God bless you and Adam.

Maureen

From the sounds of all these fantastic moms I think Roger is going to be surrounded by a great group of of kids.
I also forgot to tell you something Drew said that was really funny. While we were eating he said "This is the best lunch I have ever had." I thought he meant it was really good. Then he said "Yea, and I'm getting paid while I eat it". We totally cracked up! If thinking about the fact that he is now getting paid is going to help him get through the next 8 weeks then I am happy for him! Susan
Susan and Betsy, that is so funny and exactly what Brandon would say. Whatever I do mom it is ok because I am getting paid. lol. What wonderful young people we have. Kathy
Hahaha, obviously they all value that money.

Betsy
It is nice to know all of our children are going to be at the same place. I even hope some are in the same division. Kathy
Wendi, great news. I think they have to use their money today. They get their vouchers at BC. I read it is an ID card that has 300.00 and is used as a debit card. Please don't feel sorry for me if my son doesn't call. He refused to take his cell phone and unless a pay phone is right in front of him I doubt he will go looking for one being afraid of getting lost from everyone. I am ok and enjoying hearing about all of your calls. Besides, I still have the one when he gets to BC. This is what happens when you have a 25 year old son who knows how he wants things to be and won't change his mind. He said Mom, I am leaving this life behind and starting a new one and I don't want to take anything. lol. Kathy
